YoungYoungtimers announced the appointment of Ben Cheng as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Renger van den Heuvel. Cheng will be in charge of the company's strategic direction and growth following the acquisition of C Capital Group.

C Capital is an investment firm founded by Hong Kong billionaire Adrian Cheng with a focus on high-growth companies that originated in Asia. Some of its portfolio names are Shein, NIO, XPeng, Lalamove, SenseTime, Agile Robots, and CASETiFY. In addition to acquiring the investment management company, the acquisition included the purchase of 100% ownership of Jakota Index Portfolios, a New York and Tokyo-based index licensing and investment firm specializing in the Japan, Korea, and Taiwan capital markets.

Cheng emphasized plans to expand C Capital's presence beyond Greater China and the US, targeting broader markets in APAC and Europe. He also outlined future growth in the Middle East, Singapore, Korea, and Australia, with the aim of creating lasting value for a diverse group of stakeholders.

With this deal and leadership change, Basel-based Swiss-listed small and mid-cap equity specialist Youngtimers is all set to continue its growth and expansion globally.
