With the acquisition of Chapter & Verse, a Singapore-based consultancy with a focus on branding and design services, UK-based consultant Yonder has increased its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

Yonder, a London-based company, has doubled down on its worldwide ambitions with its first acquisition outside of the United Kingdom, after the announcement that it will experience 20% growth in its 2022 fiscal year.

Yonder was founded in 2020 as the result of the merger of four specialised companies. Since then, it has grown organically, going from 150 people at the time of the merger to its present staff of 200 consultants, researchers, data analysts, strategists, creatives, and innovators.

Manfred Abraham, co-CEO of Yonder, said that the move into Singapore comes in response to “increasing client demand” and “very interesting opportunities for future growth.”

“Southeast Asia is an extremely dynamic and entrepreneurial region. The fast-growing economy means interesting opportunities are being created across many sectors perfectly aligned with what we do. We truly believe that there is no other firm that can deliver what we can – Yonder’s blend of insight, strategy, and imagination we bring to our clients is really resonating with clients and delivering incredible results,” Abraham said.

With its four offices, Yonder serves some of the most recognisable companies in the world, including BT, BBC, Costa Coffee, The Premier League, Centrica, and M&S in the UK as well as Christies, Cognizant, Fuin, Oriental Bank, Radisson Hotel Group, Randstad, and Ralph Lauren in other countries.

“The Chapter & Verse team sets us up well to respond to the increasing demand for the blend of insight, strategy, and imagination services,” said the co-CEO (the other being Michael Simmonds).

Chapter & Verse is a company that focuses on three business lines: brand creation, design, and brand experience. It was established in 2007 by founder and CEO Jonathan Bernstein (who was formerly the Managing Director of Interbrand in Southeast Asia). Philippine Airlines, Myanma Apex Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, SCG, Barito Pacific Group, Multiverse Laboratories, and Jardine Matherson are just a few of the clients.

Chapter & Verse will become Yonder as a result of the agreement, and Bernstein will be in charge of achieving the company's growth objectives in Singapore. The agreement's terms have not been made public.

“I’m excited to bring a new type of consultancy to the Southeast Asian market. It’s a market ready for a new approach and we’re ready to deliver,” said Bernstein, who has been based in Asia for over fifteen years.
