XCMG Machinery has opened a new training center in Marunda, Jakarta, underscoring its commitment to enhancing local service and repair expertise in response to rising regional demand. The facility aims to train over 1,800 participants each year through 200 customized sessions for local service teams, dealership staff, and operators.

The establishment of the training facility is a key component of XCMG’s ongoing strategy to develop local technical talent to address the growing demand for skilled service engineers in the Indonesian market. This initiative not only supports regional and industrial growth but also bolsters XCMG’s footprint in Asia, following the establishment of its first center in the region.

Li Ge, Director of XCMG Global Branding, alongside Muhammad Ali, Director Vocational and Apprenticeship Programme of the Ministry of Manpower in Indonesia, unveiled the training center. This collaboration underscores a robust partnership between XCMG and Indonesian vocational institutions aimed at fostering a skilled workforce.

On July 26th, Kong Qingchao, General Manager of XCMG’s Greater Indonesia, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tanny Chen, Principal of Newton Education Center under Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower, to facilitate joint efforts towards nurturing interns, who upon completion will join operations at various project sites across Indonesia, enhancing vehicle maintenance services provided by XCMG.

The partnership has introduced an innovative approach that integrates classroom instruction with practical experience, producing versatile professionals who meet local demands while preparing for future global challenges faced by XCMG. This strategy not only tackles the company's global talent shortages but also enhances the development of localized talent, offering strong support for aftermarket services in the region.

As of August 2024, XCMG’s operations in Greater Indonesia have expanded significantly, offering 15 models of equipment, including excavators, cranes, loaders, mining machines, dump trucks, and bulldozers, powered by either electric or diesel engines. With a localization rate of around 90%, the company employs over 300 local staff, including more than 200 dedicated service personnel. These employees are stationed at approximately 53 service locations, supported by over 36 service vehicles. The team is committed to responding to service requests within 15 minutes, arriving onsite within 2 hours, completing tasks within 24 hours, and providing follow-up within 48 hours.
