Verizon Business Appoints Mark Trumble as Head of APAC Cybersecurity

Verizon Business has appointed Mark Trumble as its new Head of Cybersecurity Sales for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. In this role, he will lead a team of cybersecurity specialists, focusing on addressing the evolving security challenges faced by enterprises and government clients across the region.
With over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, Trumble has expertise in go-to-market strategies, solution development, and industry partnerships. He has held senior positions at organizations such as NTT and Fujitsu, with his most recent role at Infotrust, where he developed cybersecurity solutions tailored to diverse industry needs. His extensive background equips him to tackle the region's increasing cybersecurity demands.
Verizon Business's cybersecurity capabilities are backed by its global IP network and advanced threat intelligence, offering managed security services to help businesses and governments detect, defend against, and respond to cyber threats effectively.
The Asia-Pacific region is witnessing an escalation of highly sophisticated cyber threats, including espionage and vulnerability exploits, said Robert Le Busque, Regional Vice President, Asia-Pacific for Verizon Global Group. "Mark's leadership and experience will enable businesses and governments to take steps toward securing their operations and navigate confidently into the increasingly dynamic threat landscape with Verizon".
Verizon has a large presence in the APAC region, covering 29 cities across 11 countries. It serves 99% of Fortune 500 companies and above 85 Commonwealth and State Government agencies. The company also hosts an Advanced Security Operations Center in Canberra, monitoring more than 61 billion security events annually.
Trumble's appointment underlines Verizon Business's intent to expand its cybersecurity offerings and strengthen its footprint in the region.
