UAE Minister Boosts Trade And Investment Ties With Delegates of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Leading trade and financial officials from the UAE travelled to Bosnia-Herzegovina under the direction of Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, to find strategic business opportunities for the UAE there and build stronger trade and investment ties with this crucial economic region.
To find possible areas of cooperation between the two countries, Al Zeyoudi attended a number of bilateral talks with ministers and senior government officials from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Among them were meetings with Borjana Kristo, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers, and Stasa Kosarac, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, to discuss recent developments in global efforts to address climate change and to explore potential bilateral trade prospects.
Elmedin Konakovic, Bosnia and Herzegovina's minister of foreign affairs, also gave a presentation to Al Zeyoudi in which he highlighted notable initiatives in the nation's fast-growing sectors of construction, metals, oil, and agriculture.
The UAE's role as a top logistics hub that can support the nation's agriculture, manufacturing, and automotive parts exports was highlighted by Al Zeyoudi during discussions with the vice presidents of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina and representatives from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) that followed the initial meetings.
Earlier this week, Dr. Thani addressed business executives, entrepreneurs, and investors at the opening of the 12th Sarajevo Business Forum, one of the most significant investment conferences in Southeast Europe. Bosna Bank International (BBI) hosts the annual event, which this year features more than 200 investment projects in cutting-edge industries like energy efficiency, electromobility, energy storage, technology, and communications.
