The oil refinery owned by Uniper Energy in the UAE that creates low-sulfur fuel oil for the maritime industry has been acquired by Montfort Group and the Private Office of Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum, the business said.

In the third-largest bunkering hub in the world, which is located in the city of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, Montfort is currently one of the top two suppliers of ship fuel, also known as bunker fuel, competing with energy trader Vitol. The company's name will be Middle East Fort Energy Refining DMCC. A fully owned subsidiary of Montfort is Fort Energy.

Montfort is a multinational firm that engages in commodity trading and related asset investments. It is run and managed by a varied group of highly qualified professionals with years of expertise. We bring a fresh and creative perspective to the trade of commodities and energy, as well as to supply chains, logistics, and services.

Our activities play a crucial part in ensuring that the promise of energy and opportunity for all is realised. They do more than simply move energy from places of excess supply to where it is needed. Our company's culture, or more specifically, how we treat and value people, including our employees, partners, and trading counterparties, as well as the citizens of the nations in which we do business and the whole range of stakeholders that are impacted by our choices and actions, is crucial to this.
