ORCAORCA Computing, a pioneer in quantum computing technology, has made an announcement of a strategic alliance with Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a significant member of the Toyota Group. The tie-up will be used to supply ORCA's high-end PT Series quantum computing systems to Japanese and Asia-Pacific customers.

Toyota Tsusho, which has been a leader in quantum technology since 2017, has been actively implementing business solutions using quantum computing. In its partnership with ORCA Computing, the firm aims to make customers' access to powerful, user-friendly quantum computing capabilities easy, and easily deployable as an adjunct to classical high-performance computing. The initiative is to boost innovation across sectors like the automotive, chemical, and Industry 4.0 sectors.

"This alliance is vital to enabling our customers to gain access to state-of-the-art quantum computing platforms", stated Takashi Matsuda, Enterprise IT Manager at Toyota Tsusho. "By partnering with ORCA Computing, top organizations can enable entire industries to be transformed in the years to come".

ORCA Computing's PT Series photonic quantum systems are unique for their capacity to execute sophisticated machine learning and optimization algorithms. Having delivered several on-premises systems, the only quantum firm to do so, ORCA has already proved its worth to international customers, such as Montana State University, the UK Ministry of Defence, and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The collaboration comes at a critical juncture as generative AI transforms science and engineering. ORCA's hybrid model, fusing generative AI with quantum computing, provides new avenues for resolving intricate challenges out of reach of traditional computing while meeting increasing issues of power usage and escalating expenditures.

"Toyota Tsusho is an innovative company that sees the value in quantum computing that is accessible and usable to customers, not only in the future, but today", said Richard Murray, PhD, Co-founder and CEO of ORCA Computing. "Our PT Series systems are well positioned to bring state-of-the-art quantum technology to their customers".

This alliance not only solidifies ORCA Computing's foothold in the international quantum space but also further underlines Toyota Tsusho's dedication to spearheading technological revolution in the region. Together, the firms stand ready to unleash new horizons of innovation, bringing quantum-enabled solutions to sectors and businesses prepared to leap into the future.

With its current projects in healthcare, energy, defense, and high-performance computing, ORCA Computing continues to advance the delivery of scalable, effective quantum systems. The partnership with Toyota Tsusho is another major milestone toward achieving the vision of making quantum computing a ubiquitous solution for everyday real-world problems.
