Tokyo Office of Latham & Watkins Welcomes M&A Partner
Latham & Watkins has announced the appointment of Yohei Nakagawa as a partner in its Tokyo office, strengthening the firm’s M&A and private equity practice. Nakagawa brings a wealth of expertise in advising Japanese and international entities on outbound and inbound transactions.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Nakagawa served as a corporate partner at Morrison & Foerster in Tokyo. He holds membership in the New York Bar and is a registered foreign lawyer in Japan. His strategic counsel extends to a wide range of clients, including companies, investors, and financial institutions, with a focus on M&A activities such as strategic investments and joint ventures.
Posit Laohaphan, managing partner of Latham & Watkins' Asia offices, emphasized the importance of Nakagawa’s appointment, stating, "Japan is a key global finance and innovation hub and an important pillar of our Asia strategy.
