Tokyo International Expands Arbitration Practice with New Partner

TokyoTokyo International Law Office has announced the addition of Earl Rivera-Dolera as a partner, bolstering the firm’s international arbitration capabilities in response to growing client demand. Rivera-Dolera, previously the head of international arbitration at Frasers Law Company, brings extensive experience in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, mediation, and cross-border litigation.

Koki Yamada, managing partner at Tokyo International, highlighted the importance of the hire, stating, "As many important cross-border disputes in Asia are being resolved through international arbitrations, we see growing demand from our clients".

Rivera-Dolera has acted in various jurisdictions, including Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, the US, Japan, and the UK. Her arbitration expertise includes leading tribunals and serving as a sole or co-arbitrator in cases across multiple countries, including India, Korea, and Hong Kong. She also has significant experience in ad hoc arbitrations and construction project dispute boards.

In addition to Rivera-Dolera, Tokyo International recently hired Makiko Kawamura to establish a tax practice and added construction and project development partner Hojung Jun, reflecting the firm's strategic growth in key practice areas.

These additions mark Tokyo International’s continued efforts to strengthen its position as a leading legal service provider in cross-border disputes and international arbitration.
