Thomas Varghese Appointed CEO of Kochi Biennale Foundation

KochiKochi Biennale Foundation now has the new appointment of Thomas Varghese as the new CEO.

Varghese had worked with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia-Pacific in Bangkok, where he focused on sustainable urban development and project management. A graduate of St Stephen's College in Delhi and Harvard University in the USA, he brings together local knowledge as a resident of Kochi and extensive international experience, the Foundation said in a statement.

The Foundation has also appointed senior lawyer Fereshte Sethna as its legal advisor to the Kochi Biennale Foundation for a five-year term. With extensive advisory experience with philanthropic trusts, she helped structure the Kochi Biennale Foundation. The foundation has also appointed the Kochi-based audit firm Kuruvilla & Jose, Chartered Accountants, as its auditor.

According to him, Former Kerala Chief Secretary and Foundation Chairman Dr. Venu V said, "The key structural changes and the appointment of professionals will enable us to maintain high standards in line with our international peers".

Now that we have completed our restructuring process, I look forward to an exciting new chapter in our journey, said Bose Krishnamachari, President of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Thomas Varghese, the new CEO, said, "It's an honor to be part of the next chapter at the foundation while building on its rich legacy".
