Tencent Cloud and Nokia Unite to Boost APAC's Multi-Cloud Operations
Nokia, a provider of network infrastructure solutions, has teamed up with Tencent Cloud, the cloud services division of Tencent, to enhance multi-cloud operations for enterprises across Singapore and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This collaboration unveiled at Tencent Cloud Day Singapore 2024, aims to seamlessly integrate cloud services with network infrastructure. It promises to empower businesses, network infrastructure providers, and data centers to enhance and optimize their current IT environments, facilitating advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) innovation.
“By combining Nokia’s network infrastructure capabilities with Tencent Cloud’s expertise, we are able to jointly offer end-to-end, optimized premium cloud services and networking solutions for the cloud and data center industries in Singapore and throughout Asia,” Nokia vice president and head of APAC regional business center for network infrastructure Xulei Sang said. “Together, we provide significant additional value to enterprises in the region, supporting their digital transformation journeys”.
Nokia highlights its network infrastructure capabilities, which include cloud networking, advanced network automation, slicing, and cross-border connectivity. These capabilities are designed to tackle challenges in multi-site and multi-cloud connectivity, emphasizing security, agility, and scalability. Leveraging Nokia's networking solutions, Tencent Cloud aims to assist enterprises and operators in hosting and managing cloud-based applications and workloads that require efficient computing, storage, and infrastructure resources.
Therefore, businesses adopting these solutions can optimize their multi-cloud operations, enabling smoother digital transformation and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. According to a Gartner report, cloud computing is expected to evolve from a disruptive force into an essential element for maintaining competitive edge in business over the next four years.
Gartner also projected that end-user spending on public cloud services will exceed US$1 trillion by 2027. In line with this trend, APAC vice president of Tencent Cloud International Bluefin Zhao urged enterprises to leverage cloud not just to improve internal efficiencies but also to drive business innovation. Currently, Tencent Cloud has delivered its services for regional clients such as Singaporean lifestyle brand OSIM, Indonesian job platform KUPU and Bank Neo Commerce Indonesia.

These industries are increasingly turning to Tencent’s cloud solutions to revolutionize their operations.
“Enterprises with the foresight to adopt and harmonize cloud-based tools to actively pursue commercial results will be able to embrace the AI future”, Zhao added. “It gives them a strategic advantage over companies that still view cloud solutions as just an efficiency driver”.
