Chun Ong has been become the new Chief Operational Officer of Tarabut Gateway, Mena's top regulated open banking platform.
Ong is a seasoned C-suite leader with expertise in assisting firms scale. She has vast experience in consulting, legal, operations, and business development.
In his new position at Tarabut Gateway, where he will oversee operations as the company continues to develop across several jurisdictions, Ong's experience in emphasising the end-to-end client experience and operational efficiency will be of immeasurable value.
After the recent hire of two new Vice Presidents in Customer Success and Engineering, the business made this most recent senior appointment. The new hires are a part of Tarabut Gateway's commitment in a group of trailblazing individuals with local and international bases to change the open banking landscape in Mena.

Ong previously held the position of Vice President of Consumer Insights and Operations at WorldRemit, a UK Fintech company that is revolutionising international money transfers. The business's Business Analytics and Global Operations teams were established, expanded, and led by him.
The infrastructure for the open banking ecosystem in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain is being built in large part thanks to Tarabut Gateway.
