Sony Group CFO Totoki to succeed Yoshida as president
Hiroki Totoki, the chief financial officer at Sony Group Corp., was announced as assuming the roles of president and chief operations officer on April 1. Kenichiro Yoshida, the current president, will continue in his roles as chairman and CEO.
At 4:00 pm, the entertainment and electronics conglomerate will conduct a press conference to announce its new management.Totoki has served as the company's head of the banking business in addition to his position as chief financial officer in 2018.
At 3:00 p.m., Sony is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings results.
The expected hiring of Totoki was previously announced by the Nikkei newspaper.
