Separator

SoftwareOne Holding AG has launched a new SoftwareOne Cloud Competency Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This center focuses on serving businesses across Southeast Asia by offering local expertise and support for AWS cloud services, including generative artificial intelligence tools such as Amazon Q and Amazon Bedrock.

The center's establishment aligns with AWS’s recent expansion of cloud infrastructure in Malaysia and strengthens SoftwareOne’s global delivery network in rapidly growing technology markets.

David Tan, Regional Services Leader for APAC at SoftwareOne, said, “As an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, we are thrilled to continue our collaboration with AWS… Businesses of all types will be able to accelerate their digital journeys more efficiently”.

Also, Peter Murray, Country Manager for AWS Malaysia, emphasized the importance of this partnership, highlighting that it will enhance cloud accessibility and compliance for local customers.

The center will guide on implementing the SoftwareOne Landing Zone for AWS, a comprehensive framework designed to establish a secure, multi-account AWS environment efficiently. This framework includes cloud infrastructure, policies, and guardrails to ensure that organizations can swiftly create a scalable environment while adhering to AWS best practices.

Daniel Anand, Head of Technology Infrastructure and Architecture at Sun Life Malaysia, noted that SoftwareOne is helping his team implement tailored solutions, ensuring a smooth transition to the cloud while maintaining compliance.

Using the infrastructure as code tool Terraform, the SoftwareOne Landing Zone for AWS allows clients to deploy workloads within days, refining operational efficiency over ongoing management and expertise in patching and updates.
