SMESME Corp Malaysia launched the Klik-Klik Senang Akaun Programme in conjunction with the micro connector initiative aimed at promoting better financial management as well as digitally driving the accounting processes for micro, small, and medium enterprises in Sabah.

It was officiated in a program by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Bernard Giluk Dompok, who is the Chairman of SME Corp. Malaysia, and Datuk Dr. Haji Mohd Arifin Datuk Haji Mohd Arif, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Sabah.

On its part, the micro connector programme increased its participants from micro-entreprises and inclusive community entrepreneurs to 9,144 under the 12th Malaysia Plan. This increase in business efficiency and income for a total of RM14.7 million funding. Among these participants, a total of 865 participants in Sabah under Micro-Entreprises have benefited with a grant amounting to RM812,416.00.

The Klik-Klik Senang Akaun Programme was one of the main initiatives for 2024 under the micro connector program by Gold-Cheers Holding (M) Sdn Bhd. This edition in Sabah also received support from the Tuaran District Digital SME Entrepreneurs Association, with an attendance of 80 micro-entrepreneurs.

While making the speech on such things, Bernard emphasized that good cash flow and financial management were two most critical aspects of running micro-enterprises. This would help kill the common problems of one's business, such as salary payments for the employees or shop rents, business loans, and supplier dues. Systematic approaches in financial management also lead to better planning of the business and offer good money to be reserved for emergencies or unexpected expenses.

Rizal Nainy, the chief executive officer of SME Corp. Malaysia, has just announced that nine implementation partners were appointed for the micro connector programme in 2024. In this respect, it kindled attention to the centre on financial management and accounting applications, business digitalization, including digital marketing, and lifestyle and health.

According to Nainy, this year, the micro connector programme had a total approval of RM3.08 million under its wings to help 800 micro-enterprises. The very essence of the initiative is to arm MSMEs with the tools and know-how for forging ahead in an ever more digital and competitive marketplace.

More importantly, the Klik-Klik Senang Akaun Programme is a very major move toward MSME empowerment within and outside Sabah for economic strength and resiliency, rooted in better financial management and digitalization.
