Singtel and Hitachi Digital Team Up for AI Industrial Revolution
Singtel has teamed up with Hitachi's digital transformation services division, Hitachi Digital, to integrate its Paragon platform with Hitachi's AI capabilities. As part of this collaboration, Hitachi Digital will implement Paragon initially at Hitachi Americas’ Santa Clara R&D labs, with plans for a pilot project at a US factory focusing on Industry 4.0 applications.
The pilot will aim to validate the interoperability of Hitachi AI applications on Paragon for quality assurance, workplace safety, immersive training, and pre-emptive maintenance. The trial will see the integration of Paragon with Hitachi industry cloud applications and digital services to enable enterprises to “transcend the limitations of complex, low-latency connectivity and productivity experiences”.
“Enterprises in the fast-growing Industry 4.0 sector depend on high quality, reliable connectivity to ensure smooth operations”, said Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo. “We are pleased to collaborate with Hitachi Digital, leveraging Paragon to manage its connectivity and cloud needs across Hitachi’s manufacturing facilities".
Chang is confident that combining Hitachi’s advanced AI applications with Paragon’s ecosystem will enrich Singtel’s range of solutions for manufacturing enterprises, enabling them to revolutionize their operations with AI. The partnership will leverage Hitachi’s ready-made industrial AI applications alongside the Paragon platform’s network and multi-cloud orchestration features to develop various Paragon-related offerings. These initiatives aim to assist clients in enhancing and expediting their cloud operations effectively.
Following this, Hitachi Digital Services will introduce these solutions to the market as an authorized system integrator for Singtel Paragon. This initiative is aimed at assisting enterprise customers in utilizing various network protocols to implement digital transformation in industrial environments.
Frank Antonysamy, Hitachi Digital's Chief Growth Officer, highlighted that the company has heavily invested in integrating extensive experience in digital, data, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and connectivity. This effort aims to provide groundbreaking solutions for industry cloud deployments.
“Our applications and consulting services in this area have been an integral part of the digitalization movement impacting businesses around the world”, he added. “We anticipate that this partnership with Singtel will enable us to once again increase the capabilities of next-gen technologies in enterprise environments, enabling a new level of productivity for customers”.
