Siemen Energy appoints Thorbjorn Fors as VP for APAC

Thorbjörn Fors has been named senior vice president for the Asia Pacific area at Siemens Energy.

Samuel Morillon, who was named Vice President of the Pacific sub-region and is currently headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, is replaced by him.

With a 170-year history of enabling societal milestones in 16 countries, Asia Pacific is one of Siemens Energy's fastest-growing areas.

Fors, who has a base in Singapore, is in charge of all operational business divisions in those 16 nations. He answers to Siemens Energy Member of the Executive Board Anne-Laure de Chammard."The Asia Pacific region plays a crucial role in the energy transformation. As we rise to meet the region's growing appetite for energy, we must harness the momentum for the energy transition to power the shift from coal to gas and renewables. I look forward to being part of this exciting new chapter and working with the people in this diverse region," says Fors. 

Fors was headquartered in Finspng, Sweden as Executive Vice President of Siemens Energy Industrial Applications Division before to being given his current position.

He has held several C-suite positions and managed intricate, multifaceted operations. With more than 25 years of experience working abroad, Fors has developed effective partnerships across borders, cultures, and professional specialties.

Fors had held executive positions at ABB and ALSTOM before joining Siemens.
