SEDNA names maritime executive Travis Monson as Head of APAC
To increase SEDNA's client and partner base throughout the area, the former CEO, director, and board member of Monson Agencies has joined the Asia-Pacific Team at SEDNA, which is situated in Singapore.
Monson: “Our goal across 2023 and beyond is to take digitisation within shipping and the broader supply chain to the next level.”
AAL Shipping, Bunge, DS Norden, MOL Chemical Tankers, Stena Bulk, Wallem Group, Western Bulk, and other SEDNA clients with bases in the Asia-Pacific region are just a few.
Travis Monson, a prominent maritime leader, has been appointed as Head of SEDNA's Asia-Pacific Office. SEDNA, the robust email that offers an all-in-one workplace that connects to maritime and other business-critical apps for faster, more effective working, announced this appointment today. The appointment will help SEDNA move closer to its goal of expanding its operations in the area.
Monson is an expert in international shipping and has held a number of positions, including CEO, Director, and Board Member, with Monson Agency Australia, one of the top Australian worldwide shipping agencies. He was also crucial to the establishment of SEDNA, which was introduced in 2017 and was vital in the early stages of both the product and the firm up until last year.
Monson has joined SEDNA's Asia-Pacific office, which is situated in Singapore, to help the region's businesses grow and to offer them an improved email solution that will help them save time, streamline decision-making, and produce better results. In the current economic context, when businesses are looking inward to find how they may enhance organisational efficiencies, such time and resource reductions are particularly crucial.
As we emerge from the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic and amid a worldwide economic downturn, Bill Dobie, CEO of SEDNA, stated: "The Asia-Pacific area continues to dominate many aspects of the global supply chain. At the same time, many companies in this industry are now trying to take advantage of the most recent digital technology to improve both short-term and long-term business operations.
“Having been critical to the initial launch of SEDNA, I am today delighted to welcome Travis Monson back to the SEDNA Team, where we can use his stellar experience and understanding of this crucial sector to build our customer base and support shipping companies across the Asia-Pacific region as they make the switch to digital.”
Newly appointed Head of SEDNA Asia-Pacific, Travis Monson, said: “As the maritime and logistics sector continue to boldly tackle challenges and disruptions to their modus operandi, it’s critical that we use this time to showcase what SEDNA has to offer to get the industry back to a ‘new normal’.
“Our goal across 2023 and beyond is to take digitisation within shipping and the broader supply chain to the next level, making sure that businesses can capitalise on SEDNA’s great features to enable teams to work faster and use email to their competitive advantage.”
In his new position, Monson will also concentrate on strengthening relationships with current SEDNA partners and clients.
In spite of the fact that the "email problem" is acknowledged across all industries, SEDNA's users to date primarily work in the maritime and logistics sectors due to the high volume and fast-paced nature of their work, as well as the recent adoption of digital tools to replace more traditional methods.
AmSpec CR COX, Ardmore Shipping (Asia) Pte Ltd, Austral Asia Line Pte Ltd (AAL), Bunge Asia Pte Ltd, BW LPG, DS Norden, Golden Ocean Management AS, MOL Chemical Tankers, M/s Ravindra K. Reshamwala, Stena Bulk Ab, Wallem Group, Western Bulk Pte Ltd, and others are among SEDNA's current maritime and logistics clients with headquarters or significant offices
Customers using SEDNA report saving up to two hours per employee per day thanks to cutting-edge features like automatic email tagging, integration with business-critical apps, powerful search, and shared inboxes. This is valuable time that can be used to focus on tasks that may call for more skill and expertise, enhancing business performance and competitive advantage. The platform of SEDNA was updated last week with a number of new features, including artificial intelligence capabilities to automate laborious, repetitive operations and boost corporate efficiency.
Along with a sizable customer base, SEDNA has a number of influential and beneficial collaborations in the area. As part of this, the company participates in the Singapore Shipping Association and will visit Sea Asia in April 2023 as part of Singapore Maritime Week. Veson IMOS and AXSMarine, two Singapore-based providers of digital marine solutions, are also available through third-party integrations on the SEDNA platform
