Randstad RiseSmart names Joel Paul as managing director for Asia Pacific and Japan

Randstad RiseSmart, a leading specialist in worklife coaching and career transition has announced the appointment of Joel Paul as managing director, Randstad Risesmart for Asia-Pacific and IMEA.

Having joined the firm as a regional operations manager in 2008, Paul at present leads the business operations in India and the Middle East.

According to Randstad, Paul has a strong track record in business development, go-to-market, sales operations, and outplacement markets.

He will use his experience to empower more customers and partners to embrace RiseSmart’s worklife coaching and outplacement solutions across the APAC region, specifically across core markets like China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Japan, the company said.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul said he is humbled to be asked to take the lead for the wider APAC and IMEA regions for RiseSmart.

“The things that really stand out for me about our RiseSmart team are many, but our great leadership and strong company culture are two important ones.”

“A key differentiator I love to discuss with our clients is our ability to innovate and execute - our recently launched coaching solution is just the latest example in a long list of new solutions to help HR leaders,” he added.

“And on that note, I look forward to meeting and working with our existing customers across the region, to help them advance their people's priorities, and deliver an exceptional experience for them,” Paul said.

Prior to joining RiseSmart thirteen years ago, Paul held roles with iPlace USA, Envisionize Services, and Mphasis. Across these roles, he gained a depth of knowledge on the HR buyer and recruitment needs and has witnessed the evolution of talent requirements.

Meanwhile, Dan Davenport, chief executive officer, Randstad RiseSmart said Paul has proven success in advancing international presence and footprint, consistently delivering strong sales results and building impactful relationships.

“Paul was one of the first hires we made and he’s done a phenomenal job for us building out our global operations center, launching the outplacement business, and quickly establishing RiseSmart as a leading HR solutions provider in India,” he added.

“He has extensive knowledge of the outplacement and coaching markets, which aligns with the critical needs of our customers in the region,” Davenport said,

He also thanked former APAC leader, Alison Hernandez, for her contributions and service as she leaves RiseSmart to pursue personal endeavors. We all truly wish her all the best in her future.
