OpenMinds Group and Asia Pacific University Launch 'OpenCreative'
In a groundbreaking move, Southeast Asian martech firm OpenMinds Group has officially joined forces with the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), a prominent private Malaysian university. The collaborative initiative, aptly named 'OpenCreative,' aims to cultivate the next generation of creative talent destined for the industry.
Under the umbrella of OpenCreative, OpenMinds Group and APU are set to collaborate closely in the development of creative content production within the digital space, with a specific focus on catering to the needs of Malaysian SMEs.
The partnership involves APU students actively participating in the creation of content marketing products for SMEs under the mentorship of seasoned creative leads from OpenMinds. This hands-on approach seeks to provide students with practical, real-world experiences, accompanied by meticulous quality checks to ensure that their work aligns with the highest industry standards.
OpenCreative's service offerings encompass a spectrum of creative content creation, ranging from copywriting and short videos to graphic design. Moreover, the initiative provides custom content calendars and content advisory services, with packages starting as low as RM 1500 per month. SMEs can leverage these services to tap into OpenMinds Group's wealth of experience and refined processes.
The ultimate goal of OpenCreative is to empower the creative community, irrespective of professional experience, while simultaneously establishing a higher standard of quality for creative content in the Malaysian SME digital landscape. This aligns seamlessly with Malaysia's overarching objective of upskilling its youth through experiential learning, fostering real-world skill development, and subsequently enhancing graduate and workforce employability.
Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, Vice Chancellor of APU, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are excited about our partnership with OpenMinds Group as it aligns with APU’s mission of empowering graduates with the skills needed to excel in global business and society". Dr. Ho highlighted the collaboration's focus on technology, innovation, and creativity, aiming to equip students with practical skills essential for meaningful contributions to their industries.
Randy Too, Director of OpenCreative and Co-founder of OpenMinds Group, emphasized the potential impact of collaborating with APU, stating, "Collaborating with APU to enhance creative content production will not only aid Malaysian SMEs in spearheading digital transformation but will also establish a new standard for the quality of creative content in the country. We are honored to work with the talented students at APU and anticipate creating a generation of independent creative individuals in the future".
