Nickel Asia Corp. Elects Jose Isidro Camacho as Chairman, James J.K. Hung as Independent Director

NickelNickel Asia Corp. (Nickel Asia) announced the election of Jose Isidro Camacho as its new chairman, succeeding Gerard Brimo, who retired after more than 15 years of dedicated service. Additionally, the company has appointed James J.K. Hung as an independent director.

Camacho brings a wealth of experience to the role, currently chairing SunLife Canada (Philippines) and the University of Arts Singapore. His distinguished career includes serving as the Secretary of Energy in 2001 and later as the Secretary of Finance until 2003. He has held significant positions in the financial sector, notably as managing director and vice chairman of Credit Suisse Asia Pacific from 2005 to 2022, and has also worked with Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. Camacho holds a master's degree in finance from Harvard University.

James J.K. Hung, the new independent director, is the chairman of Asia Securities Global Group (Hong Kong) and ASG Inspiration Lab (Singapore). He has a notable background in various financial institutions and holds an MBA in finance from Babson College in Massachusetts.

Following these announcements, Nickel Asia shares closed at P3.99 each, down 0.25 percent.

These leadership changes mark a significant transition for Nickel Asia, positioning the company for continued growth and strategic development under new guidance.
