Microsoft names Miki Tsusaka as new president of Microsoft Japan

Miki Tsusaka has been named as the new President of Microsoft Japan, effective immediately, Microsoft is happy to announce. Tsusaka will be in charge of all of Microsoft Japan's product, solution, service, and support offerings in Japan as well as the company's connection with clients and business partners. She answers to Microsoft Asia President Ahmed Mazhari.

Tsusaka formerly worked for Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Senior Partner and Managing Director before joining Microsoft. She assisted customers at BCG in developing and implementing growth strategies, enhancing profitability, redesigning organisational structures, and promoting digital transformation for a variety of clients in Japan and abroad. She oversaw the enlargement of BCG's service offerings and founded strategic consulting divisions with a focus on developing pricing, sales, and marketing strategies. She also assisted BCG's operations by serving as Chief Marketing Officer and a member of the Executive Committee for two terms of three years (CMO).

Commenting on Tsusaka's appointment, Mazhari said, "We are extremely excited to welcome Tsusaka-san to Microsoft Japan. She has over 30 years of consulting experience working with clients in a wide range of industries both domestically and internationally. I am confident that her robust global experiences in supporting business transformation will propel Microsoft Japan's proposition to the next level as a leader of Japan's technology industry."

Ahmed Mazhari, who served as the temporary President of Microsoft Japan, will shift his attention back to his role as the President of Microsoft Asia under Tsusaka's leadership.

Tsusaka said, "I am delighted to be appointed President and Representative Director of Microsoft Japan. I decided to join Microsoft because I believe in the company's mission of empowerment and its tremendous growth potential in Japan. I look forward to working with the experienced leadership team, employees, and partners to help solve our customers' challenges and accelerate the digital transformation of Japanese society.
