Microsoft Names Laurence Si as New Leader for Its Malaysia Operations

Laurence Si has been appointed as the Managing Director for Microsoft's operations in Malaysia, effective from July 1st, taking over operational responsibilities from K Raman, who has led the Malaysian division for a record-breaking nine years. Raman's new role will be announced on the same date.

With 30 years of business and technical expertise, Laurence Si brings extensive industry knowledge to drive growth and digital acceleration in Malaysia. His focus spans across various sectors including the developer and startup ecosystem, enterprise businesses, small to medium enterprises, the public sector, and key industry verticals.

Under his leadership at Microsoft, Laurence and his team will spearhead efforts to expedite Malaysia's digital transformation by promoting cloud adoption and artificial intelligence. Their focus will be on equipping digital-first enterprises and startups with the necessary tools to amplify their innovative endeavors.
