Microsoft Collaborates with KT to Advance AI and Cloud Technologies

KTKT Corp, a leading South Korean telecom company, has announced a strategic partnership with US tech giant Microsoft to foster advancements in the local artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing sectors. The collaboration, reported by Yonhap news agency, aims to drive innovation and respond swiftly to market changes through joint AI and cloud research projects.

"We will do our best to set a milestone in South Korea's digital innovation and swiftly respond to changes in the market through a comprehensive collaboration with Microsoft", stated KT CEO Kim Young-shub.

In parallel, Microsoft has also forged a significant alliance with Hitachi, projecting a multibillion-dollar collaboration over the next three years to accelerate social innovation with generative AI. This partnership is set to bolster Hitachi's Lumada business, targeting a revenue of $18.9 billion in FY2024. Furthermore, the collaboration will enhance operational efficiency and productivity for Hitachi Group's 270,000 employees.

Both partnerships underscore Microsoft's commitment to leveraging AI and cloud technologies to drive global digital transformation and operational excellence.
