MBK Partners promotes Christie Hyosung Tang to Partner
Christie Hyosung Tang, executive director for legal affairs, was elevated to partner and vice president on January 1, according to an announcement made by MBK Partners on January 2.
Tang graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University and received a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University Law School in the United States in 2006. She worked for major law firms such as Milbank's New York office and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's Hong Kong office, and worked as an international lawyer in the Seoul office of Covington & Burling before joining MBK Partners in 2017.
Tang has made a significant contribution to MBK Partners' development as Asia's premier independent private equity investment management firm with the greatest legal, governance, and risk management capabilities. She is MBK Partners' general lawyer and is instrumental in all investment, recovery, fundraising, and internal business matters. She also provides legal advise to portfolio firms.
