Matt Codrington Names As MD At Lenovo For APAC

Matt Codrington, who previously led business for Lenovo Australia and New Zealand, has been hired as Lenovo's Managing Director for the Greater Asia Pacific area According to his LinkedIn profile.

Matt began working for Lenovo in 2006 at the AP Centre of Excellence in Singapore. In January 2009, he was named Director of Operations (COO), Japan, where he was in charge of the management of the Lenovo PC division and the Lenovo-NEC joint venture. Later, he was promoted to Executive Director, where he was in charge of all product strategy, the SMB commercial P&L, and all Partner sales teams in Japan.

In April 2013, Matt was appointed managing director of Lenovo ANZ after spending six years abroad. Matt spent ten years in various Product Marketing and Sales roles at various major international IT vendors before joining Lenovo.

Matt serves on the Australian Information Industry Association's (AIIA) non-executive board. The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) is the nation's top advocacy organisation and representation body for persons working in the digital economy. He oversees all AIIA operations, creates the National Business Plan, and determines the Association's strategic direction as a member of the Board of Directors. He also contributes to setting the agenda for the Australian digital economy. IoT Alliance Australia (IoTAA) also counts him as a non-executive director.

The leader has more than 18 years of experience in consumer markets across Asia, commercial/enterprise segments, and technology and services solutions for multinational corporations. with expertise in team building, project management, operational efficiency, and strategic and tactical planning.
