Mastercard and Pemo Team up To Advance UAE's SME sector
Mastercard and Pemo, a UAE-based fintech firm that helps businesses in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP), have formed a strategic relationship to promote cashless, flexible expenditure management for SMEs in the UAE. The action contributes to the country's goal of strengthening its robust SME environment.
Announced during Fintech Surge at GITEX 2023, the collaboration aims to support the drive towards a cashless economy by providing SMEs with access to digital spend management solutions that empower them to scale and grow. Combining digital and contactless payment technology, Pemo’s physical and virtual corporate cards allow businesses to digitize and automate the spend management process, including one-click invoice payments and real-time cash flow monitoring for full visibility over spending habits, as per zawya.
The collaboration will provide Pemo Mastercard Corporate cardholders access to a variety of capabilities that will allow them to increase productivity, save money on work and leisure costs, and unleash corporate development. Through the Easy Saving Specials (ESS) platform, the campaign will also connect SME cardholders to over 150 merchant discounts. ESS is a global redemption-based program for SME-only merchant incentives redeemed at checkout. Discounts and deals on essential services such as Google Workspace, DocuSign, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Notion, as well as flexible workspace, are among them.
Cardholders will also get access to travel and leisure privileges such as airport lounge access around the Middle East, airport concierge, and savings on on-demand vehicle rides and car rental services.
