According to H.E. Bandar Alkhorayef, minister of industry and mineral resources for Saudi Arabia, there are now 212 industrial investment opportunities on the Invest Saudi platform. The declaration was made by the Minister while he was taking part in the Al-Ahsa Investors Forum 2023, where he emphasised the value of realising industrial development's full potential in achieving Vision 2030.

"As we work toward achieving our aspirations for a vibrant, thriving, and ambitious nation, our National Industrial Strategy (NIS) will be vital to accelerating and diversifying the Kingdom's industrial development. By supporting the development of a flexible industrial economy, forming an integrated industrial center, and achieving global leadership in manufacturing, we will be one step closer to achieving our aspiration to become a leading global industrial powerhouse," said H.E. Bandar Alkhorayef.

The National Strategy targets growth across four core sectors to support Vision 2030: industry, logistics, energy, and mining. To achieve this, it will build world-class supply chains, strengthen its industrial business base, promote trade and enable exports, and foster a culture of innovation and know-how. Significant prospects for mining and industry exist in Al-Ahsa, which is in eastern Saudi Arabia, in line with these growth aspirations. With 12 mining centres and 224 active mining permits at the moment, the region is a significant contributor to the Kingdom's mining industry.

Al-Ahsa Governorate, one of the most competitive areas in the Kingdom due to its strategic location, is home to a variety of sectors, including mining, energy, and logistic services. Al-Ahsa is enhancing the Kingdom's capacities in trade, services, and agriculture. The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology has 300 factories situated in its freezone Modon, demonstrating Al-expanding Ahsa's industrial base.
