With INFORM Software Pte Ltd., based in Singapore, the optimization expert is expanding its presence in Asia. The partner organization will take over sales and consulting as well as providing support for INFORM software for this region.

INFORM's systems offer algorithmic support to intelligently optimize decision-making and planning processes for: airline and airport operations, logistics, transportation, workforce deployment, and financial crime fighting in banking, insurance and telecommunication.

The systems are capable of evaluating large amounts of data within (milli-)seconds and they can calculate the best possible decision for the situation according to predefined criteria. With the new location in Singapore, the software company is continuing on its international expansion journey. "We are further expanding our global network with this move. After all, partnership-based and trusting relationships with our customers can best be established directly on site," says Dr. Andreas Meyer, CEO of INFORM GmbH. In addition to its headquarters in Aachen, Germany, the company is now represented by six independent INFORM Group companies on five continents, located in Australia, Brazil, Chile, USA (Atlanta), Portugal and Singapore. "The Asian market represent a strategically important growth market for us," says Meyer, "INFORM Ltd. Pte will utilize its human resources for sales, project execution and customer support. This will enable us to provide an even better service to existing local customers, increase our customer base and thus further expand our market position in Asia."

INFORM Pte. Ltd. is based in the center of Singapore. Sebastian Zeitler will be the company's managing director. "With Sebastian, we have been able to appoint someone to the position of CEO who has an excellent network of contacts in Asia and knows the markets very well," says Meyer. Sebastian Zeitler has been living and working in Singapore for seven years.

As Head of Commercial Consulting and Trade Division of the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad there, he supported companies entering the South East Asian market. Now, he is looking forward to his new role. "Despite the internationally tense situation in the last two years, INFORM is on course for growth. With the help of mathematical optimization and AI, INFORM systems enable companies to make sensible business decisions in highly complex situations. This is a strategic competitive advantage, especially in economically uncertain times," explains Zeitler.

He will join a team of engineers and software developers to manage sales and support for INFORM products in Asia. "INFORM already supports customers in the Asian region, including the airline Emirates, Dubai Airport, the Indonesian logistics service provider IPC and the building materials manufacturer Alliance in Hong Kong. Here, we want to offer support services closer to the customer and above all, in the same time zone," Zeitler continues. "In addition, we want to capitalize on the potential of the markets in Asia and also win customers in areas such as logistics and financial crime fighting in banking, insurance and telecommunication."

The survival of many companies depends on their ability to respond with true agility to unpredictable day-to-day challenges. After all, in the modern business world, volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity are paramount. INFORM therefore provides its customers with powerful tools for operational management when dealing with the unforeseeable. Long before terms like artificial intelligence and machine learning were on everyone's lips, INFORM developed intelligent algorithms for its software products.

They are based on operations research and fuzzy logic, enhanced by machine learning. The algorithms can evaluate large amounts of data within seconds and calculate the best possible decision for the situation according to predefined criteria. In this way, INFORM systems transform the available knowledge within companies into concrete recommendations for action. Today, more than 900 employees from 30 nations support over 1,000 customers worldwide. Companies such as Abbot, BMW, Mercedes, ING, Deutsche Telekom, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, HeidelbergCement, Merck, Qantas, Siemens and Zurich have been continuously expanding and renewing their digital decision-making in cooperation with INFORM for several decades.
