Indosat named the first NVIDIA Cloud partner in Indonesia

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has forged a collaborative agreement to become Indonesia's inaugural NVIDIA Cloud Provider Partner. This partnership was solidified with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Vikram Sinha, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, and Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President of Telecom at NVIDIA, during the Mobile World Congress 2024 held in Barcelona.

Breaking ground in the Indonesian market as the premier NVIDIA cloud provider partner, Indosat and its subsidiary, Lintasarta, will collaborate to introduce NVIDIA's comprehensive AI platform to businesses in Indonesia for the first time. This initiative will provide customers with access to NVIDIA's GPU technologies through high-density data centers. In subsequent phases, Indosat and Lintasarta's AI cloud services, powered by NVIDIA, aspire to establish a new era of sustainable, hyper-connected data centers prepared for AI applications.

In alignment with the partnership with NVIDIA, Lintasarta aims to deliver GPU-as-a-Service (Deka GPU), enabling customers to leverage cutting-edge artificial intelligence functionalities designed for intensive computing tasks. These services encompass infrastructure, platform, and bare metal offerings. Recognizing AI supercomputers as vital infrastructure, this collaboration lays the groundwork to empower Indonesia's journey towards becoming an AI-driven nation.

The Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison group plans to utilize its data centers to establish a self-reliant AI platform aimed at fostering innovation throughout the ecosystem. "This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in Indonesia's journey towards becoming a global AI-powered digital nation. The technology will be implemented by data centers operated by BDx Indonesia, a joint venture of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Lintasarta, and BDx Data Center", Sinha said.
