Huawei Leads Asia-Pacific in Digital Transformation at APAC Congress

The Huawei Digital and Intelligent APAC Congress, hosted in Bangkok in collaboration with the ASEAN Foundation, drew over 2,000 attendees including government officials, scholars, partners, and analysts from 15 countries and regions across Asia-Pacific. The gathering focused on exploring strategies for implementing cutting-edge digital and intelligent infrastructure to foster the development of a digitally savvy and intelligent Asia-Pacific region.

The digital economy in the Asia-Pacific region is experiencing a prosperous era, with countries and territories actively pursuing intelligence alongside fostering digital progress. Huawei has played a significant role in facilitating the digital transformation of over 100,000 enterprise partners in the Asia-Pacific region. Through consistent technological advancements, Huawei contributes to establishing state-of-the-art network and data center infrastructure foundations. Collaboratively, they have established OpenLabs, 5G joint innovation labs, and other platforms tailored to address the specific business requirements of local customers.

Sabrina Meng, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board and CFO of Huawei delivered an opening speech via video, in which she said, "Asia-Pacific is not only one of the world's most vibrant regions. It has also become a role model for other regions that are trying to go digital and grow their digital economies. Huawei has been honored to be part of this process. It has been great to work with such wonderful customers and partners who are driving the region's digital transformation".

Meng also said: "We value research and innovation. Over the past decade, we have invested over one trillion Chinese yuan into R&D. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on creating value for customers. And we will openly collaborate with partners to provide 5.5G, cloud, digital power, and other technologies. We want to do our part to bring the benefits of digital and intelligent technologies to people in Asia-Pacific. And we want to promote the integrated development of the digital and real economies".

His Excellency Nararya S. Soeprapto, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Prasert Jantararuangtong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand, Leo Chen, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Enterprise Sales, and Simon Lin, President of Huawei Asia-Pacific Region also delivered speeches at the Congress.

Following the Congress, Huawei is set to organize four conferences: the Huawei Network Summit, Innovative Data Infrastructure Forum, Global Optical Summit, and Huawei Cloud Stack Summit. Collaborating with partners, Huawei will host seven significant events, introduce high-frequency scenario-based solutions into the commercial market, unveil new products in the distribution sector, and acknowledge outstanding partners during the Asia-Pacific Partners' Night. Furthermore, Huawei will unveil its industry-specific solutions at both the Global ISP Summit Asia-Pacific and the Global Manufacturing and Large Enterprise Summit.
