HSBC Appoints Annie Lim as Head of Global Private Banking Desk in Singapore

HSBC has appointed Annie Lim as the head of its global private banking (GPB) desk in Singapore, effective December 2, 2024. This appointment is a key part of HSBC's strategy to expand its GPB business in Asia and highlights the bank's commitment to building a dedicated team to cater to its ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.

Annie joins HSBC from Lombard Odier, bringing over 29 years of banking experience in Asia. She has deep expertise in wealth management and client advisory, with a proven track record of serving UHNW clients, including family offices.

Her career includes 11 years at Credit Suisse, along with a decade at Standard Chartered and American Express Bank, where she honed her skills in wealth management and bespoke client solutions.

In her new role, Annie will focus on expanding client relationships within the UHNW segment and family offices. She will report to Hammad Hashmi, Market Head for Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia at HSBC GPB.
