HP Inc. Appoints Songyee Yoon to Board of Directors

HPHP Inc. has announced the appointment of Songyee Yoon to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Yoon is the Founder and Managing Partner of Principal Venture Partners and previously served as the President of NCSoft Corporation, a prominent gaming development company.

Chip Bergh, Chair of the HP Board, expressed excitement over Yoon's appointment, highlighting her expertise in international business and AI. "Songyee brings valuable experience in emerging technologies, and her global perspective will be instrumental in advancing HP’s strategic priorities," Bergh said.

Yoon’s distinguished career includes leadership roles in technology, AI, and international business. She holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from MIT. In addition to her work with Principal Venture Partners, she has contributed to South Korea’s technological landscape as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Science and Technology under two presidents.

As a strategic leader at NCSoft, Yoon oversaw global expansion and the integration of AI across the company. Her venture fund, Principal Venture Partners, focuses on AI-native investments, making her an ideal fit for HP as the company continues to strengthen its AI capabilities.

HP’s President and CEO, Enrique Lores, welcomed Yoon to the board, emphasizing her role in driving the company's vision for the future of work. "With her extensive experience in AI, Songyee will play a critical role in shaping HP's leadership in AI-enabled technology and supporting our growth," Lores stated.

Yoon’s addition to HP's Board underscores the company’s commitment to advancing innovation in AI and global business leadership.
