Hamed Khan Appointed Executive Director at Saudi Financial Advisory Firm Haykala
Hamed Khan brings more than 30 years of expertise in banking and advisory to Haykala, specializing in corporate finance, transactions, asset management, and restructuring.
Over the past four years, Khan has acted as an advisor to the Head of the Special Assets Management Division at Banque Saudi Fransi, leading major projects such as Saudi Arabia’s first perpetual sukuk and significant restructuring initiatives valued at over SAR 12 billion.
Earlier in his career, Khan held leadership roles at Gulf International Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank. During those spells, he led the world’s largest sukuk issuance for Dubai International Airport, structured Saudi Electricity Company’s first international loan, and was instrumental in developing Qatar’s first so-called Independent Water and Power Project. All three projects have made important contributions to the growing Islamic finance market.
At Haykala, a Saudi financial advisory business that is a member of the global network IMAP, Khan will spearhead the expansion of its offerings in debt restructuring and structured finance.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hamed as Executive Director of our CMA-licensed advisory business. His expertise in project and structured finance strengthens our ability to provide tailored, innovative solutions to our clients, further cementing our position as a leading financial advisory firm in the region”, noted Haykala in a statement.
“This appointment reflects Haykala’s dedication to empowering its clients and partners with world-class expertise as Saudi Arabia continues to drive economic transformation and growth”.
Commenting on his new role, Khan said: “I am excited to join Haykala and contribute to our shared mission of reshaping the financial landscape in Saudi Arabia. Haykala’s dedication to innovation and excellence resonates with my vision of delivering strategic, forward-thinking solutions that drive meaningful progress in the Kingdom’s thriving financial sector”.
In addition to financial restructuring, Haykala offers a range of services to its clients, including IPOs, fundraising (both debt and equity), and mergers & acquisitions.
