Graffiquo Asia Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of advanced geospatial technology solutions, has introduced a new product aimed at revolutionizing operations in the oil and gas industry. The company announced that "GIX for Oil & Gas Field Workers" is designed to enhance data capture, asset management, and reporting processes, potentially boosting efficiency and safety for industry professionals.

The company also highlighted that GIX incorporates features like photogrammetry, data-driven maps, and mobile forms, enabling field workers to handle data efficiently and make well-informed decisions in real-time. Graffiquo noted that the development of GIX has been backed by significant support from key governmental agencies and ecosystem partners. Initially, the company secured a commercialization grant under the CIP300 program from Cradle Fund, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, to support their main platform, Graffiquo.

Following this, it obtained backing from the Collaborative Research and Development Fund Grant by the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation, under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, for further commercialisation activities and resources. Further support came from the Malaysian Petroleum Resource Corporation through the OGSE Development Grant, under the Ministry of Economy, specifically for the development of their spinoff mobile application, GIX.

Furthermore, Graffiquo Asia is participating in the MRANTI MYSTI programme, a government initiative designed to enhance the commercialization of locally developed R&D products and services for both domestic and international markets. The company is also engaged in the Petronas FutureTech 2.0 programme, which focuses on supporting technology startups and advancing digital transformation within the oil and gas sector.

Graffiquo is collaborating with the Organisation for International Economic Relations and the United Nations' Centre of Excellence for the Smart Sustainable Cities programme, which supports Sustainable Development Goal 11. This partnership underscores Graffiquo's global dedication to promoting smart and sustainable urban development through its 3D visualization platform.

George Tang, founder of Graffiquo Asia, expressed appreciation for the support received, emphasising the importance of such funding and recognition in driving innovation. He stated, “GIX represents a significant step forward in improving efficiency, safety, and decision-making processes for oil and gas companies”.

In addition to its focus on the oil and gas industry, Graffiquo Asia is seeking collaborations with Malaysian ministries to help achieve the Digital Malaysia Cities vision. The company is dedicated to sustainability and smart urban development, aiming to support the government's goal of a digitally integrated nation.
