Separator

Giant Group recently held a board meeting approving several massive leadership changes. The president, Bonnie Tu, would retire and is leaving. The board is elevating Young Liu, current CEO to the president post. In addition, Chief Brand Officer Phoebe Liu has been elevated as CEO; these will go effective very soon.

Starting on January 1, 2025, Giant Group will officially enter its third phase of leadership succession. New President Young Liu expressed his gratitude to Bonnie for her decades of contribution and dedication to the company. He particularly acknowledged her eight years of leadership as President, during which she guided Giant Group through numerous challenges, achieving many remarkable milestones. Looking ahead, Young Liu emphasized that the group will face more challenges, but with the unity, effort, and innovation of the Giant team, the company will continue to forge ahead and create new successes.

Giant Group was initially founded under the leadership of President King Liu and CEO Tony Lo, who laid a solid foundation. In 2017, the second generation of leadership, with President Bonnie Tu and CEO Young Liu, officially took over, leading the company through many trials and achieving historical successes. Now, as President Bonnie Tu releases her book and announces her retirement, Giant Group welcomes its third generation of leadership.

Bonnie has not only profoundly changed the industry but has also inspired countless women to participate in cycling. At the recent launch of her new book 'Brave & True (Love Inspire Venture)', Bonnie shared insights from her life, from childhood to her time at Giant Group. She recounted the founding of Liv, the world’s first women’s cycling brand in 2008, as well as her personal achievements, including completing four cycling tours around Taiwan, triathlons, the Mt. Fuji challenge, and the fourth stage of the women's Tour de France amateur challenge. Bonnie hopes her book will inspire women to boldly pursue their dreams and confidently be themselves. Upon retirement, Bonnie's first wish is to travel to Portugal and enjoy life as an artistic, literary woman.
