Franklin Templeton Appoints Gaurav Bathija as Head of Private Banks and Family Offices

FrankFranklin Templeton has named Gaurav Bathija to the newly established role of Head of Private Banks and Family Offices. Bathija will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Christian Bucaro, Head of Wealth for Asia at Franklin Templeton.

In his new role, Bathija will lead the firm's growth strategies for private banking and family office networks across Asia. His responsibilities include enhancing engagement with existing clients and forging new relationships with global and regional private banks, as well as high-net-worth channels. Bathija will collaborate closely with local teams in Singapore and Hong Kong to drive these initiatives.

Bathija brings over 25 years of experience spanning capital markets, private equity, and private banking. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, he served as Managing Director at BNP Paribas Wealth Management, where he played a key role in the firm's wealth management strategies.

Franklin Templeton's move to create this role underscores its commitment to expanding its footprint in the private banking and family office sectors across Asia. The appointment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen client relationships and leverage regional growth opportunities in the high-net-worth segment.
