ezCater Appoints Ashwin Raj As CEO
Stefania Mallett, co-founder and current CEO of ezCater, the most reputable provider of corporate meal solutions, has opted to leave her full-time executive management post, the company said today. She will continue to hold a position on the board of directors for the business. With effect from August 14, 2023, Ashwin Raj, a seasoned executive in e-commerce and marketplace technologies, will succeed Mallett as ezCater's CEO and join its board of directors.
“Stefania helped pioneer the food for work category and built ezCater into its leadership position. On behalf of ezCater’s Board of Directors, I want to thank Stefania for her remarkable achievements, and I look forward to her continuing contributions as a Director,” said Chris Cuddy, Chair of the Board of Directors, ezCater. “I’m excited to welcome Ashwin as ezCater’s new CEO. He is an inspiring leader, who brings a deep understanding of high-growth marketplaces operating at scale and a successful history of focused execution, and I can’t wait to partner with him as he leads the company through its next stages.”
To provide business professionals with a technology solution for finding reputable catering for meetings around the nation, Mallett and Briscoe Rodgers co-founded ezCater in 2007. Today, with over 100,000 eateries on its platform, clients in all 50 states and almost every industry, and more than 850 workers countrywide, ezCater is the top technology platform created specifically for food for work in the United States.
Mallett started his business with the goals of respect, "going above and beyond helpful," and openness. ezCater has consistently been named one of the greatest places to work by organizations like Fortune, Inc., Boston Globe, and others. Mallett also oversaw ezCater's successful COVID pandemic recovery.
