Deutsche Bank names Serene Wee as senior client partner of South-East Asia Wealth Management

Based in Singapore, Wee joined Deutsche Bank’s International Private Bank (IPB) this month, and reports to Anurag Mahesh, Vice Chairman IPB APAC and Interim Head, IPB South-East Asia.

Wee will focus on delivering tailor-made wealth management solutions to Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients in South-East Asia, including family offices, trusts, foundations, and entrepreneurs across the region.

Wee joined Deutsche Bank from Credit Suisse where she spent 19 years focusing on the UHNW client segment. Prior to that, she worked as a relationship manager at BNP Paribas, and was a treasury trader with The Royal Bank of Scotland Singapore Branch.

Head of IPB APAC Jinyee Young said, “We are committed to growing our platform in Asia Pacific, a region with enormous opportunities. We will continue to invest in senior hires like Serene Wee, and invest in our people and platform to deliver the best solutions to our clients.”

Wee holds a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Economics) from the National University of Singapore as well as a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, as well as other dialects including Hakka, Hokkien and Cantonese.

Last month Deutsche Bank announced the appointment of Johanes Oeni as Head of the International Private Bank, South-East Asia. In addition, Esther Wong also joined Deutsche Bank in January as a Managing Director and Market Head in South-East Asia.
