British designer Daniel Fletcher has been named Creative Director at the Chinese luxury fashion house Mithridate, with a mandate to transform it into a 'truly global brand'. His appointment takes effect immediately.

Fletcher, based in London, will divide his time between China and London studios, overseeing the brand's menswear, womenswear, leather goods, and accessories collections.

Daniel Fletcher is a London-based fashion designer, who, after graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2015 launched his eponymous label DANIEL w. FLETCHER. Fletcher has since designed for some of the world’s most prestigious houses including Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, JW Anderson, and Fiorucci.

This appointment marks the brand's push for global expansion, with Fletcher collaborating closely with CEO Tina Jiang to align design and strategy for broader international reach.

Daniel Fletcher said: "I am extremely grateful to begin this new chapter in my career with the total trust of the whole Mithridate team. My aim is to create a new legacy that brings together influences from my British culture and heritage and aligns them with the remarkable Chinese craftsmanship that Mithridate has access to.

"This feels like such a unique position to be in as I present new original ideas of my own and develop an identity that is not weighted heavily on an archive’s influence but allows me to expand on my vision while also exploring new areas of technique thanks to Mithridate ’s established infrastructure".
