Colt Technology Services Expands Into Asia, leveraging Global Partners
Colt Technology Service Co. Ltd has unveiled its global growth strategy, focusing on expanding into six Asian markets to support the business growth of companies in Singapore and globally. The targeted countries are the Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Following recent expansions in West Japan and South Korea, Colt aims to extend its presence in Southeast Asia through its global partners. The new non-exclusive strategic partnerships will offer competitively priced ethernet and internet protocol (IP) access services across Southeast Asia. These partnerships promise an enhanced end-to-end customer experience and service levels comparable to Colt’s own fibre network.
“The strategic partnership enhances our ability to offer greater service availability and extensive regional expertise, as well as competitive pricing through economies of scale,” stated Yasutake Mizutani, Colt’s president of Asia Pacific (APAC). These efforts enable us to provide comprehensive end-to-end network services globally, benefitting customers in Asia and those looking to connect their networks from the world into Asia.
Mizutani highlighted that their AI-driven insights estimate the target market size at approximately 2.2 billion euros. Annette Murphy, Colt’s chief commercial officer, noted that the average compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for business-to-business network services in the region from 2022 to 2027 is projected at 9.8 percent, surpassing growth rates in the United States and Europe.
“APAC is a key driver of growth, and I am delighted to announce our strategy to position ourselves as a global leader in digital infrastructure,” Murphy added. This business expansion is part of our scheduled investment in APAC, totalling 100 million euros over the next three years. Colt plans to deepen relationships with multiple strategic partners and expand their service offerings, despite engaging with several B2B telecommunication carriers in the region.
