Colin Liew Takes the Helm of International Litigation at Providence Law Asia

Separator

Singapore law firm Providence Law Asia has named prominent litigator Colin Liew as its new head of international litigation. This appointment follows the firm’s earlier strategic hire in January, when Daniel Tan, a former partner at Shook Lin & Bok, joined as head of restructuring and insolvency.

Liew joins Providence Law Asia from Duxton Hill Chambers Singapore where he practiced as an independent barrister. He brings extensive experience in areas such as commercial fraud, legal privilege, and international arbitration, having acted for law firms, multinational corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.

In his new role, Liew will oversee the firm's cross-border dispute resolution practice, focusing on complex multi-jurisdictional cases.

“His leadership will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s reputation as a market-leading, independent disputes practice that delivers world-class legal services to clients across industries”, said Providence Law Asia in a statement. “We are excited to have Colin on board and look forward to the next chapter of growth under his leadership”.

In 2021, Liew was among six lawyers who left Essex Court Chambers Duxton to establish Duxton Hill Chambers. Recently, Duxton Hill Chambers has welcomed two new members: Matthew Gearing KC and ZJ Jennifer Lim.
