CJ Century Logistics Appoints Kim HyunChul as Deputy CEO
CJ Century Logistics Holdings Bhd has appointed Kim HyunChul as its new Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following the resignation of Kim JinMok, who served the company for nearly two years.
In a filing with the stock exchange, the logistics provider announced HyunChul’s appointment to the role. The 47-year-old has spent nearly two decades with CJ Logistics Corporation, a Seoul-based logistics company, where he has been building his career since December 2004.
HyunChul began as a manager in the transportation operations team, a role he held from December 2004 to June 2014.
He then served as the vice president of the business audit division from July 2014 to December 2023, before taking on the role of the vice-president of the global innovation team from January 2024 to October 2024.
From October to December 2024, JinMok served as the Vice President of CJ Logistics Corporation. In a separate filing, CJ Century clarified that JinMok's resignation was due to a change in the nominee director by CJ Logistics Asia Pte Ltd, a key shareholder of CJ Century Logistics. JinMok had been appointed as the group's Deputy CEO in May 2023.
CJ Century's shares closed flat at 22 sen, giving the company a market capitalization of RM128 million. Over the past year, the stock has fallen by 44%.
