Bridgestone Named in Dow Jones Sustainability World Index 2nd Year
Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) has disclosed its continued inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for two consecutive years and the fifth time overall. Additionally, the Company secured its place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific) for 14 consecutive years, composed of companies situated in the Asia Pacific region.
Companies' sustainability is evaluated based on quantitative metrics encompassing environmental, social, and governance factors, highlighting those ranking within the top 10% of their respective industries annually. In 2023, 321 out of 2,500 major companies were chosen for the DJSI World, while 156 out of 600 in the Asia Pacific region were selected for the DJSI Asia Pacific. Bridgestone secured placement in both indexes within the Automobile and Components industry group this year.
