BNPBNP Paribas, the Paris-based banking giant, has announced the appointment of Aymar de Liedekerke Beaufort as the new Global Head of Banking for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. With over 30 years of experience within the institution, de Liedekerke Beaufort brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

Operating from the firm's base in Hong Kong, de Liedekerke Beaufort will report directly to Yannick Jung, the Head of Global Banking, and Paul Yang, CEO of APAC. In this freshly minted position, he will spearhead BNP Paribas' global banking operations across APAC, overseeing divisions such as corporate clients group, global capital markets, and transaction banking.

De Liedekerke Beaufort's extensive career at BNP Paribas has seen him occupy senior roles in various European countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Germany. His recent focus has been on the Asian market, having served as head of territory for Vietnam, India, and most recently, South Korea.

Yang emphasized the strategic importance of the Asia Pacific region, highlighting its robust client base and its role as a vital corridor for clients. He reaffirmed BNP Paribas' commitment to delivering exceptional service, leveraging their international network, deep presence in Asia, and integrated business model to serve clients effectively in the region.
