Ant International to Broaden Operations in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) has forged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ant International, signifying the latter's authorization to expand its operations within the kingdom. During a signing event in Riyadh, Douglas Feagin, President of Ant International, met with Eng Saleh Khabti, Deputy Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, to inaugurate this new collaboration. The agreement delineates mutual objectives centred on technological advancement and fostering economic opportunities within Saudi Arabia.

Under this agreement, MISA extends a warm welcome and backing to Ant International's plans for establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia. This support encompasses assistance in obtaining necessary licenses and certifications to facilitate the expansion and augmentation of Ant International's service portfolio.

Ant International intends to utilize Saudi Arabia as a pivotal entry point into the Middle Eastern market, aiming to extend the accessibility of its payment and financial services. This initiative is expected to yield benefits for merchants of varying scales, empowering them to leverage digitalization for further business growth.

Eng Saleh Khabti expressed optimism regarding the partnership, highlighting its potential to not only benefit merchants nationwide but also to catalyze growth across the broader Middle Eastern region.
