PPG Names Xiaobing Nie As president, Asia Pacific
Xiaobing Nie, vice president of industrial coatings for China and international consumer products, will take over as president of PPG Asia Pacific on August 1st, 2023.
In addition to her new position, Nie will continue to fulfill her present duties within PPG's industrial coatings division, and she will continue to be stationed in Shanghai. She will report functionally to Chancey Hagerty, senior vice president of automotive refinish coatings and executive sponsor of PPG's Asia-Pacific region, and directly to Kevin Braun, senior vice president, industrial coatings sector.
After working at DuPont for several years in sales and marketing roles, Nie joined PPG in 2021 and took on the role of Asia-Pacific leader for the company's Shelter segment. She has previously held jobs at Huawei in China and Brazil. Nie earned an MBA from William & Mary Mason Business School after graduating from Shanghai International Studies University with a bachelor's degree in economics, law, and Portuguese.
