HashKey and Kaia Partner to Accelerate Web3 Adoption in Asia

Separator

HashkeyHashKey Group, a leading digital asset services provider in Asia, has announced a strategic partnership with Kaia, formerly known as Klaytn. This collaboration is set to accelerate the adoption of Web3 technology across the Asian and global markets.

The partnership is designed to enhance digital finance, content creation, and security. It coincides with the recent merger of Kaia and Finschia, which received approval on February 15. Finschia is a blockchain platform developed by Line Tech Plus, a subsidiary of the Japanese messaging giant Line, focused on delivering digital services to Line’s extensive user base.

According to the press release, the alliance between HashKey and Kaia aims to support the Kaia–Finschia merger, creating 'the largest Web3 governance platform in Asia'. The integration of Klaytn and Finschia will leverage their combined strengths to build a highly competitive mainnet ecosystem. This initiative will see collaboration with prominent partners like Kakao and LINE to drive the expansion of the ecosystem.

Ben El-Baz, Managing Director of HashKey Global, highlighted the partnership's alignment with their shared vision of innovation and progress within the digital asset ecosystem. El-Baz noted that major Asian tech firms, including Kakao and Line, are increasingly investing in Web3, positioning Asian blockchain communities to reclaim a leading role on the global stage.

On August 29, Kaia launched its mainnet, introducing applications akin to those found on Telegram for the Line social messaging platform. The new Ethereum Virtual Machine-based layer-1 blockchain was established by Kakao and Line, two of Asia's top social messaging platforms. Alongside the mainnet launch, Kaia unveiled Kaia Wave, a program enabling developers to create mini-decentralized applications that operate on Line.

In a related move, HashKey Group recently partnered with the Telegram Mini App, Catizen, on August 19. This collaboration marks HashKey’s first Web3 partnership, allowing the licensed HashKey Global exchange to offer Catizen users compliant and reliable digital asset services. The decision to team up with Catizen was driven by the rapid growth of The Open Network ecosystem, which El-Baz described as 'increasingly dynamic'.

This partnership and strategic moves highlight a growing momentum in the Web3 space, with both HashKey and Kaia positioning themselves at the forefront of digital innovation in Asia.
