Eversendai Secures RM188 Million Worth of New Projects In Saudi Arabia, India
The Eversendai Group reported that its Saudi Arabian and Indian companies have been awarded new structural steel work contracts totaling RM188 million. It claimed in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that attractive projects are driving Saudi Arabia's construction market's huge growth this year and into the future.
"It is based on a vital society, a thriving economy and an ambitious nation. Diversifying the kingdom’s economy is vital for its sustainability in line with the ‘Saudi Vision 2030’, the vision of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Salman,” it said.
Eversendai claimed to be upbeat and to have increased efforts to strengthen its position in order to land more projects. The complexity of these structural steel projects is commensurate with the group's technical prowess and illustrious history of successfully completing projects on schedule, under budget, and with high standards of quality and safety in 18 different countries.
"We are in the process of finalising a local partner to spearhead Eversendai’s expansion and growth in Saudi Arabia.
"We are also in the process of establishing a 60,000-tonne annual fabrication capacity factory near Riyadh to support the huge structural steel requirement,” said Tan Sri A.K. Nathan, group managing director of Eversendai Corporation Bhd.
