With a background in finance and in-depth knowledge of the medical field he aims to break the traditional barriers by fusing ideas from a variety of disciplines. His approach to leading organizations towards excellence is strategic and is evidenced by his strong belief in the value of continual learning. What are the key areas of expertise that you have developed over the years as a leader in HR and career coaching?

My journey from finance to CEO of a firm has provided me with expertise in HR and career coaching. I have a foundation in accounting and finance, which equips me with analytical acumen. This understanding of financial dynamics helps me to make informed decisions.

This helps me understand the importance of resilience and continuous learning. My ascent from an accountant to CEO has helped me attain strong collaboration, mentorship, and leadership skills.

How would you describe Hemotek Renal Center’s organizational profile and its market standing at present?

Founded on June 11, 2008, and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Hemotek Renal Center is a subsidiary of Euro-Med Laboratories which is renowned for its pharmaceutical innovations. Hemotek caters to the needs of hemodialysis patients and has a network of 25 branches, including standalone facilities and collaborations with esteemed hospital partners accredited by the Philippine Health Insurance Company (PHIC). We are on a mission to provide the highest quality hemodialysis treatment in a safe, comfortable environment by prioritizing patient needs, and upholding evidence-based practices.

Presently, Hemotek Renal Center is one of the top dialysis centers in the Philippines. We are known for our exceptional medical services and cutting-edge procedures. This dedication towards excellence draws patients as well as professionals with competence such that some nurses opt to join us to widen their skills’ scope. People come to us because they trust our facility and know that here, they will receive good care. Our goal is to provide excellent healthcare services while creating an environment that promotes learning among staff.

I strive to lead Hemotek Renal Center through strategies aimed at ensuring sustainability financially while providing best care for patients

As the CEO of Hemotek Renal Center, how would you utilize your professional experience and improve Hemotek’s brand and image?

I have a unique combination of financial knowledge and medical experience, which positions me well to contribute significantly towards improving our brand and image. Although I don’t have a degree in medicine, my interest in science subjects and reading medical journals help me keep up with what is happening in the field. This equips me with knowledge that enable me to relate effectively with our doctors.

What I do is to create an atmosphere where every member is challenged to question their own understanding of concepts. I believe that true growth and innovation stems from curiosity and critical examination of one’s own self. Through this, I aim to inspire everyone in our organization to engage in continuous learning. By pushing the boundaries of knowledge, I aim to make Hemotek known widely as number one in service delivery among other medical institutions.

Describe your leadership style and personal principles or tactics in the capacity of leading.

I take a slightly different approach since I appreciate everything in writing. I encourage my team to communicate with me over emails because it's easier for me to read than to listen. I can read faster than I can listen, and I can also write faster than I can talk. It makes thinking easier.

I encourage the managers and others on my team to learn continuously because it facilitates growth. When a team member accomplishes learning or training successfully, they are incentivized or promoted accordingly. I believe that higher education or acquisition of new skills should be acknowledged with rewards because such acts not only benefit one person but also make our institution better as a whole.

How do you remain updated on business trends and developments to ensure Hemotek Renal Center thrives in the future?

Like I mentioned in the previous question, I love reading. So, I thoroughly read everything available about my organization and the industry. This could be through magazines, brochures, or books. I also spend time with my peers and collaborate with other executives for exchanging knowledge and insights. I indulge in publications related to my field while at the same time associating with colleagues and top officials in professional bodies such as Dialysis Coalition of Philippines which holds educational forums among other things. I believe that to effectively educate others, it is essential for educators to invest in their own education. Therefore, it's imperative to engage in continuous learning and growth.

What do you wish the Hemotek Center position to obtain or vision in the next couple years?

We have a dual outlook for the future with Hemotek Renal Center for the next five years. Firstly, we aim at ceasing our leases of the commercial places and start owning more centers. It will not only make us financially stronger but also help us to have more equivocal control over the operational systems of the facility.

Secondly, we also strive to invest a major share of the profits in the staff trainings and make Hemotek Renal Center one of the best training companies for medical professionals in Philippines. We aim to not only attract great minds in the field, but also being the biggest contributor to the growth and development of medical professionals all over Philippines.
